Farcry New Dawn is a action plus adventure 1st person shooter game in a open world environment in which the player can explore the whole map or gaming arena on foot or via vehicles. The game arena is set in the fictional Hope Country, Montana and uses a recreated version of Far Cry 5's map. The nuclear war occured in Far Cry 5 game story has the landscape so that new arena have became available for the player to explore while others are not accessible.
The player choose the game character whose gender and race can be customized. Updated Guns (New weapons are introduced in the game, including a "Axe Saw Launching Guns" that fires the blades of circular saws) are from Far Cry 5 with the character are having some special powers. In addition to new game characters, the game's casting includes some old members from Far Cry 5. The player character are having their own personal missions and some special abilities.
